K-Life USA (the "Service") is operated by Claian. This policy explains what personal information the Service collects, and how it is used and stored.

1. Information we collect

• On sign-up: email, password (stored one-way encrypted), display name (optional), profile photo (optional, self-uploaded)
• Google login: email, name, and profile photo provided by Google
• Writing a review: review content and star rating
• Community / deal posts: title, body, attached images (self-uploaded), external links
• Submitting an event: event details, location, organizer name, contact email (for non-logged-in submitters)
• Submitting a site: site information (including Korean/English names), contact email
• Posting a listing: listing details, photos (self-uploaded), contact info (name, phone, email)
• Advertising inquiries: company name, contact name, contact details, and your request
• Automatically collected: access logs, environment (browser/OS), clicked-site info, banner impression/click stats (in non-identifiable form)

2. Purpose of collection and use

• Member identification and authentication
• Providing user content such as favorites, reviews, posts, deals, and events
• Reviewing site submissions and advertising inquiries and notifying results
• Handling reports and responding to policy violations
• Sending operational notification emails (approvals, rejections, etc.)
• Statistical analysis to improve the Service (in non-identifiable form)

3. Retention period

• Member information: deleted immediately on account withdrawal. Dormant accounts inactive for 3 years are deleted after separate notice.
• Reviews, favorites, posts, deals: deleted on account withdrawal (or deletable by you directly)
• Uploaded images: deleted when the related post is deleted
• Access logs and analytics: anonymized or deleted after 90 days

4. Third-party sharing and processors

K-Life USA does not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing. Information is shared only in the following cases:

• When you have explicitly consented
• When required by law enforcement or judicial authorities under applicable law
• Service processors (for data processing purposes only):
  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication, image storage
  • Vercel — web hosting, logs
  • Resend — operational notification emails
  • Google — OAuth login authentication

5. Your rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time:

• View and edit your information — directly on the profile page
• Delete your posts, reviews, and favorites — directly on each page
• Withdraw your account — request at claian.admin@gmail.com

6. Cookies

K-Life USA uses cookies and browser local storage to keep you logged in, support the compare feature, and remember preferences. Blocking cookies in your browser may limit some features such as login.

7. Affiliate links

Some external links may include affiliate links, and the Service may earn a commission on purchases through them. Affiliates (e.g., Amazon) may use cookies under their own policies. See the Affiliate Disclosure page for details.

8. Security

• Passwords are stored with one-way encryption
• All communication is encrypted via HTTPS
• Files such as images are protected with permission-based access control
• Admin privileges are granted only to a minimal number of people

9. Protection of minors

K-Life USA does not collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that information from a child under 13 has been collected without parental consent, we delete it immediately.
