Terms of Service

1. About the Service

K-Life USA (the "Service") is a curated directory operated by Claian (the "Company") that helps Korean-American communities find useful sites, events, and shopping information. Members can use features such as favorites, reviews, community posts, sharing deals, submitting events, and submitting sites.

2. Membership and accounts

• Sign-up is available to those aged 13 and older (COPPA compliant).
• Members must provide accurate information at sign-up.
• Members are responsible for managing their account password.
• Accounts may not be transferred to or shared with third parties.
• One account per person as a rule.

3. User content

For all content submitted by members — reviews, community posts and comments, deal posts, event submissions, site submissions, etc. ("User Content") — members agree to the following:

• Members retain rights to the content they create.
• The Company holds a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display User Content for operating, promoting, and surfacing the Service in search.
• False information, defamation, advertising/spam, copyright infringement, and illegal content may be removed without prior notice.
• Members must hold the rights (copyright, likeness rights) to images they upload.

4. Prohibited conduct

The following is prohibited; if detected, content may be removed and accounts suspended without warning.

• Signing up or posting using another person's information
• Registering false information or filing false reports
• Advertising, promotion, flooding, or spam (normal deal sharing is excepted)
• Crawling the Service with automated tools/bots or disrupting operations
• Registering or promoting illegal content (copyright-infringing streaming, gambling, adult content, drugs, weapons, etc.)
• Hate speech, discrimination, incitement to violence, insults or harassment

5. External links and site information

• External sites listed on the Service are not operated by the Company, and the Company is not responsible for their content, products, service quality, or transaction outcomes.
• The Company does not guarantee the operational status of external sites (closures, URL changes, etc.); please report changes and we will review and update.
• Prices and discounts in deal posts are as of the time the member posted them; actual prices and stock follow the external seller's policy at purchase.

6. Advertising and banners

• The Service is monetized in part through banner advertising.
• Ads are clearly distinguished from regular content.
• Transactions for an advertiser's products/services are direct contracts between the advertiser and the user; the Company is not a party to them.
• Advertising inquiries are handled via the advertising page.

7. Changes and interruption of the Service

The Company may add, change, or discontinue features as needed for improvement or operations. Significant changes will be announced in advance. Advance notice may not be possible for unavoidable reasons such as disasters, outages, or legal changes.

8. Limitation of liability

• The Company does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of User Content.
• It does not warrant the service quality, transaction outcomes, or price information of listed sites.
• Reviews and posts by members are personal opinions, not the Company's official position.
• The Company is not liable for damages caused by events beyond its control, such as disasters or communication failures.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Account withdrawal

Members may request withdrawal at any time at claian.admin@gmail.com. On withdrawal, all personal data such as your reviews, posts, favorites, deals, and uploaded images is deleted. However, parts combined with others' content, such as comments on another user's post, may be retained after partial anonymization.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised as needed; significant changes are announced within the Service 7 days in advance (or immediately when unavoidable). Continuing to use the Service after changes constitutes agreement to the revised terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are interpreted under the laws of the State of California, USA, and disputes related to use of the Service are subject to the California state courts as the court of first instance.
